Guide your video with references

Understand reference clips, sequels, and prequels according to the model's capabilities.

± 10 minutes of reading & practice· Generate Video

AFTER THIS GUIDE, YOU CAN

A follow-up experiment or video with a clear purpose.

Before you start

  • Clips or video results that you have the rights to use.
  • One type of reference: movement, camera, style, or scene.
Shape, resolution, duration: what is the difference?

Shape (ratio) is the ratio of the width and height of the frame. 9:16 looks tall, while 16:9 looks wide.

9:16Tall portrait
16:9Landscape
1:1Square
4:5Shorter portrait
Resolution = number of pixels
Pixels are small dots that make up an image. Example of horizontal video: 1280 × 720 pixels (720p) and 1920 × 1080 pixels (1080p) are both 16:9. The second one has more pixels, not a longer duration.
Duration = length of video or sound
Example: a 5 second video finishes faster than a 10 second video. Still images do not have a playback duration. Duration options follow the available models.
AI model = the engine that creates your result
Each model can have different shape, resolution, duration, sound and cost options. Start from the options available on the tool, then read the cost calculations.
Quote = the price shown before generation
Check the SC (SCENRA Credits) amount before pressing Generate. Changing the model or settings may change the price. Academy exercises do not use credits.

These examples explain the terms. The available settings and actual prices depend on the SCENRA tool when you open it.

Select a model that features video input. Models that only receive text or images cannot be forced to accept clips.

GUIDE ILLUSTRATION

  1. Check reference support

Select a model that features video input. Models that only receive text or images cannot be forced to accept clips.

  2. Upload it and wait for it to be ready

Clip processing can take place in the background. Wait for the ready status before requesting a price; if rejected, check the duration, file type and limit on the screen.

  3. Define the role of the clip

If role options are available, select whether the clip is a motion, camera, style, or scene reference. Explain what can change and what needs to be maintained.

  4. For continuation, open the video results

Sequels use the final frame as the beginning of the continuation. Prequels use the initial frame as the end of the previous scene. Check the selected image and destination model.

  5. Review connections

Pay attention to product position, lighting, and direction of movement at the meeting point. Similarity is not guaranteed to be perfect; separate clips do not automatically become one long video.

EXAMPLES TO TRY

Start with this prompt.

Change the product, name and details to suit your own. This example is not an automated command and does not guarantee the same results.

Continue from the provided final frame. Keep the product, lighting, and camera direction consistent. The camera moves slightly closer and then settles. A single continuous shot with no sudden scene changes or added text.

TRY IT, THEN CHECK IT

Are you ready to move?

Perform or understand the following checks. Check honestly; This progress is to help you learn.

ONE SHORT QUESTION

Where does the sequel to this plot start?

Avoid common mistakes

Assumes sequel automatically merges files

This creates a new clip. Stitching multiple clips requires a supported editor flow.
